California's Great America

Great America has been one of the best theme parks I've visited. I grew up with Great America out here in the bay area, and I know that the park attracts visitors from all over the country.

If you've never been, you should check out the 70+ rides and attractions they have. I've been to shows here, and I always have a good time. If rides aren't your cup of tea, some of my friends come out for shows and to have a picnic, or to hang out at the water rides/slides. You can even check out Planet Snoopy. It's a good time for the family and kids.

Gilroy Gardens Lumination

I recently saw an advertisement for Gilroy Gardens' new Lumination event, and wanted to check it out! 

Lumination is a festival of lights celebrating 2,000 years of Chinese culture and history. This is the first lantern festival to take place on the west coast, with 30 major sculpture displays and fun landmarks that are represented.

I'm excited to bring my family and friends here. The kids will love the dragons, pandas in the bamboo forest, and they will even have live performers!

This event will take place from now until November 29th. Gilroy Gardens is a family theme park located in Gilroy, CA.

California's Great America Theme Park

Every summer, I take my family to visit Great America. You just can't have a summer without the fun rides and theme park memories! 

Luckily, we live in the bay area and we can visit as much as we want. Whether you're a Northern California resident, or visiting for the summer, check out this great deal on tickets!

The Grizzly (wooden ride pictured above) is actually one of my favorite rides at Great America! Other rides include Gold Striker, which is the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Norcal. The Gold Striker has the longest initial descent tunnel on any coaster!

 Aerial Ice Extreme (as seen on Season 8 of America's Got Talent) is a brand-new, high-energy, aerial, stunt and ice show with an incredible cast of ice skaters and acrobat gymnasts! 

Here's another cool thing about California's Great America - it is the only theme park in California to offer a complete water park inside - free with park admission, known as Boomerang Bay. 

In the fall, Great America transforms into an amazingly fun Halloween extravaganza featuring 8 mazes, ghoulish monsters, 3 scare zones and shows. The 100-acre theme park is located on Great America Parkway between highways 101 and 237 in Santa Clara, CA. 

The park is open daily now through August 16, and each weekend throughout November.
