California's Great America Theme Park

Every summer, I take my family to visit Great America. You just can't have a summer without the fun rides and theme park memories! 

Luckily, we live in the bay area and we can visit as much as we want. Whether you're a Northern California resident, or visiting for the summer, check out this great deal on tickets!

The Grizzly (wooden ride pictured above) is actually one of my favorite rides at Great America! Other rides include Gold Striker, which is the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Norcal. The Gold Striker has the longest initial descent tunnel on any coaster!

 Aerial Ice Extreme (as seen on Season 8 of America's Got Talent) is a brand-new, high-energy, aerial, stunt and ice show with an incredible cast of ice skaters and acrobat gymnasts! 

Here's another cool thing about California's Great America - it is the only theme park in California to offer a complete water park inside - free with park admission, known as Boomerang Bay. 

In the fall, Great America transforms into an amazingly fun Halloween extravaganza featuring 8 mazes, ghoulish monsters, 3 scare zones and shows. The 100-acre theme park is located on Great America Parkway between highways 101 and 237 in Santa Clara, CA. 

The park is open daily now through August 16, and each weekend throughout November.

I have straight, long hair that gets tangled frequently. It is incredibly frustrating to brush my hair with traditional brushes and ripping out hair strands in order to de-tangle my hair. Since I don't like to use hair products to keep my hair tangle-free, I am always looking for the next best brush to give me that soft and luscious hair!

I had a fun time this weekend on Saturday at Boomers in Livermore, California! Boomers is a family entertainment center with go karts, laser tag, water bumper boats, mini-golf, and a whole host of arcade games. We spent our Saturday having a blast! There was even a birthday celebration going on, which made the environment much more fun and exciting!

I had so much fun playing in the arcade. I even tried my luck with a Hello Kitty prize machine!

The on-site managers Jessica and Cesar were amazing and professional! They were extremely helpful to everyone who visited, including us! The staff were cordial towards visitors as well.

Boomers has two courses for miniature golf. We tried the first course and had such a blast that we had to give the second course a try. Boomers provides a rechargeable card for you to conveniently store the number of tickets you've won playing the arcade games, as well as swipe your card in order to play the games and access laser tag.

We were first in line for go karts!

Fashion Pick of the Week

Hi fashion lovers! Sorry for the radio silence. Life is catching up to me once again. When it rains, it pours!

Here is one of my all-time favorite items for fall and winter: a sturdy black peacoat. You would be surprised how long it takes me to find a peacoat that fits properly! Peacoats are usually either too frumpy or too big on me, even with the smallest size. When it is too big on the waist and too small in the chest area, it feels as though you are wearing a suffocating wool blanket!
