PSC Pets Calming Formula for Dogs Review
My chihuahua is very energetic and requires a lot of play time. He is also very anxious and doesn't like it when he is home alone, even for just one hour. I have tried calming products in the last few years, which has not helped much with his anxiety.
If you have a dog that chews, bites, or scratches items in your home due to anxiety, you know that this is a frustrating situation for both you and your dog. Not only are your furniture and household items ruined, your dog's health could be at jeopardy for anxiety and for possibly choking on those items that they are biting. I came across PSC Pets calming formula for dogs and wanted to give them a try, in the hopes of making my nervous dog relax.
The active ingredients in this product consist of: Lecithin, Ginger, Valarian Root, and Thiamine (Vitamin B1). You can give this soft chew to your pet everyday, or before stressful situations such as vet visits, road trips, or vacations when your pet is away from home.
Since my dog is small, the instructions on the bottle state to give dogs under 20 lbs. half of a chew in the morning, and the other half in the evening. My dog has been getting 1 tabet every 2-3 days this past week, and he seems to be much calmer. For dogs 20-60 lbs, 2 soft chews are recommended for daily use, and dogs over 60 lbs. can be given 3 chews daily.
While I was grocery shopping, my dog was home alone. He didn't chew any items or scratch the door, which is his usual anxious behavior. He still had his eagerness and excitement when I came home, but I noticed his anxiety and stress have been improving. Hopefully, with prolonged use my dog will finally be able to relax.
