Nutcracker Music Game Review

The Nutcracker Music Game contains games and puzzles as teaching tools for children to learn music concepts, while helping to develop their listening and problem-solving skills. My son and I spent the last three afternoons together playing this game and it was amazing at how much he learned within a matter of hours.

As a parent, I am always searching for games with educational value. There are too many video games out there for children that have no value in terms of learning. The Nutcracker game teaches different concepts and helps stimulate growth via interactive game play.

The concept of the game is to save the Nutcracker by earning nine keys. These golden keys are earned through various games, exercises, and puzzles. Within minutes, my son learned what an oboe was and within several hours, learned the different instruments used in the orchestra, and the musical harmony when all instruments are played together!

This game teaches children to recognize the various sounds that instruments make. My son, in particular, liked the listening room and I found that he consistently went back to repeatedly hear the sounds. He also liked the music jigsaw puzzles. I like the fact that this game has helped to further develop his interests with music and musical instruments within a short period of time.

With the excited game play options and interactive music challenges, it's no wonder that the Nutcracker Music Game has won the Parents' Choice Gold Award, NAPAA Gold Award, and the Parenting Seal of Approval. I would highly recommend this game, and this would make a great gift for the holidays.
