It's time for back to school season, which means looking your best for school and for all of the great fall events!
I received an Infrashine curling iron to review. When I was in high school and college, I loved curling my hair. The only problem was the curling irons I used were not good quality. They would either leave a burning smell in my hair, or get so hot my hair would sizzle. The one temperature option of curling irons is now a thing of the past!
Infrashine makes high-quality curling and flat irons. I received the 1" spring FAR-infrared high-performance ceramic curling iron. The cool thing about this iron is that it has temperature control ranging from 170-360 degrees.
I tested the curling iron at an initial 180 degrees. It took less than 2 minutes to warm up and when it's ready, the power switch light blinks.
I'm usually multi-tasking when I curl my hair, so the 9 ft. heavy cord on the Infrashine iron was helpful!
The cord made it possible for me to move around within two-thirds of my room.
At the base of the iron, there are options to either "free" or "lock" the base. When you switch to "free," the bottom of the iron swivels.
This flexibility allows you to move in different directions while lessening the possibility of tangling your iron or burning yourself.
I'll admit that when it comes to my hair, I just don't have time. I have 45 minutes to get ready for work each morning before I need to catch my train. Curling my hair with the Infrashine iron took me 15 minutes. That's my WHOLE head of hair.
To show you how significant that means, let me show you the length of my hair:
I curled one side, which took me 7 minutes total. I changed the temperature several times, and found that 210 degrees was right for me.
You can either make tight curls or brush out the curls for a loose, wavy curls look. I brushed the curls out (pictured above) for a softer look.
This is my completed look, after brushing out the tight curls with a comb:
I used two hair clips to pull my hair away from my face, which gives my hair a flowing look.
Thanks to the ceramic-plated barrel, the iron never overheated and there was no smoke or hair burn.
Drying out your hair will definitely contribute to split ends, so invest in a high-quality iron and you can help maintain or improve the quality of your hair!
This is a great gift for women who are either leaving home for college, or going back to college. This would also be perfect for your fall looks, especially for homecoming, a night out after working hard all week, or even for a simple quick curl before you head out for errands.
Another thing to note is I never once burned myself using the Infrashine iron. I burn myself at least 3-4 times every time I curl my hair, no matter how hard I try not to be clumsy.
The iron also has a built-in stand that keeps the iron stable, no matter where I've placed it! This prevents any hazards or possible burning of your counter surfaces.
Benefits of Infrashine's curling iron:
- 9 ft. heavy duty cord
- Energy efficient, low-watt usage
- Adjustable temperature settings
- Base swivels
- Helps promote shine and eliminate frizz
My long hair was able to wrap around a 1 inch barrel, which is unheard of for other irons I've owned! I would highly recommend Infrashine's curling iron. This is a must-have item to add to your tried-and-true beauty collection.
