MOOM All Natural Beauty Products sent me their spa formula organic hair remover kits in lavender and rose essence to review. Nothing is worse for your skin than hair removal products with harsh chemicals and ingredients!
MOOM's hair remover products are USDA organic certified. As a proud supporter of organic companies, I was excited to try hair removal without the waxy mess and chemicals. I was also tired of shaving all the time, and my skin became dry and dull from the constant shaving.
I also tried a hair removal cream that was made for use on the face, and the chemicals burned my skin even after following directions and testing my skin beforehand. Ever since then, I have given up on hair removal creams, and have been using razors with no better alternatives.
MOOM's hair removal products are made from a botanical blend of natural ingredients. The kit with lavender is made with sugar, water, chamomile, lavender, and lemon juice. It smells incredible!
The rose essence hair removal is made with sugar, water, chamomile, lemon juice, and rose. This reminded me of a warm spring day and the fragrance was so much better than the wax products I normally buy.
Both hair remover kits came with:
- 6 oz. jar of sugar blend (the "wax")
- 18 reusable fabric strips
- 4 wooden applicators

The MOOM spa kit with lavendar is made for ultra sensitive skin, while the spa kit with rose essence is made for dry skin. Since I have sensitive, dry skin, both kits worked out well for me!
I waited for two weeks before using the hair removal kit. The instruction booklet lists "do's" and "don'ts" for removing hair, and since I had previously shaved I needed to wait.
To use the kit: Take a small amount of the sugar blend and microwave it for no more than 10 seconds. Use a wooden applicator and apply a small, thin layer (a little goes a long way!).
Apply a layer in the direction of hair growth. Take a fabric strip and place this over the layer. Smooth the strip in the direction of hair growth.
When you're ready to remove the strip, pull it in the opposite direction of hair growth.
When you microwave the blend, do not make it as hot as normal wax.
Make sure the fabric strip is smoothed in one direction, and the strip is adhered to the layer of the sugar blend.
These strips are reusable, so don't throw them away after the first use!
It has been two weeks, and I haven't seen any hair growth! The results from MOOM's products last up to eight weeks, which saves me so much time and money. I haven't shaved in two weeks, and my skin is free from stubble!
